New arrival to our family
You have been very active in amma's tummy eversince you started moving. Suddenly on Oct 4 you decided to be very less active. So amma got admitted in the hospital on Oct 5 and Doctor aunty decided that you should be born as soon as possible. So you were born on Oct 6 at 5.12 PM at Indian hospital and you weighed 2.95 kgs. Amma woke up in the theatre itself listening to your cry. You were crying out so loud.
Doctor aunty dressed you up and took you out of the theatre and gave you first into appa's hands. Appa was full of joy having you in his hands. Secondly, doctor aunty gave you into patti's(Ammamma) hands. Thatha(Amma's daddy), Vanitha(Amma's best buddy) chitti(this is how she wants to be called by you) and patti(Vanitha Chitti's amma) were also there waiting to see you. You had lot of visitors coming to see you since then. Raji patti and Raghu thatha came to see you. Then Saras patti and Somu thatha came to see you.
Abhi mama (amma's dear favourite brother) called up to wish us and share the happy moment from Australia. He missed being with us and amma also missed him a lot. He badly wanted to see you, but he would be coming back to India only after one year.
The following days to you had lot of visitors, Giri thatha, Bhuvana patti, Yamini chitti all came to see you. Ammammas neighbour Deepthi and appa and amma's efunds office friend Nandi uncle and Diana aunty came with your little friend Sarmeeka. She was so happy to see you, and kissed you good bye too. Viji patti and Moorthy thatha, Vijayan thatha and Maha athai, and Amma's friend Kalavani aunty and Senthil uncle, appa and amma's efunds office friends Suman and Sridhar came to see you.

Dheepa aunty(Amma's friend) and kanmani uncle(Appa and amma's efunds friend) called to wish us.
You had your first shot on day three. Amma was very worried if you would cry out of pain and would develop temperature. Ammamma took you to the doctor's room and then you had your BCG and polio drops. Appa then got you back. The nurse's there were surprised that you didn't cry and sleapt once they put the vaccine and you didnt develop any fever too. Vinu aunty and Rithika came to see you that day. Vinu aunty got you nice dresses for you. The pink and white frock was so cute.
Appa had taken a lot of photos of you from day one. Since, amma was on bed, and couldn't see your cute actions, appa took lot of photos and videos and showed amma.
Appa did a lot of research on the internet and at last we finalized the name Samyuktha even before you were born. Appa liked this name very much. We announced your name to everyone.
Arrived Home
We were in the hospital until Oct 9. We thanked doctor aunty for letting you into our world safely and with her go ahead, we started home on that day at 9 PM. Appa choose that time since there would be less traffic and he can drive slowly.
Appa drove very slowly and stopping all the way so that amma would be comfortable and also giving you enough time to get used to the car trip. We finally reached home and since we were not completely prepared for your arrival 10 days early, we were not prepared with your bedding. So we tried to make a cozy sleeping place on our bed. You were not fuzzy about it and sleapt well.
The next day appa got a nice pink cradle for your with a soft bed set, lot of towels and soft dresses for you to wear. Appa assembled the cradle for you and you had your bed ready the second day at home. You were more comfortable in that.
Amma only did the first set of shopping for you, got a new pink dress(always expected a girl), a couple of socks, baby towel, cotton wipes, baby buds, and cloth nappies. (Appa itself admitted that the pink dress that amma got for you was the best dress on you, the only dress amma got for you before you were born. You looked so cute in that dress.) Appa did lot of shopping for you alone since amma couldn't go out leaving you. He got a musical mobile and fixed that too on your cradle. But you were too young to enjoy that at that time.

You had lot of them sending in wishes and their blessing for you. Dheepa aunty and kanmani uncle sent us a flower bouque.
